Museum Island

Establishment Purpose

• On January 18, 2015, to celebrate the completion of the facades renovation project of city-designated heritage Taipei Post Office, and memorialize the 50th anniversary of the Postal Museum’s establishment, Postal Museum particularly established the " Postal Museum Taipei Beimen Branch " as the Postal Museum's extended exhibition hall, to implement core values of the “Pass on Postal History, Carry forward Postal Culture". The branch is renamed as “Postal Museum Taipei Branch” on May 20, 2020.

Department Introduction

This exhibition hall is divided into Mail Box Display Area, Boutique Display Area, Time Corridor, Gallery Corner, and Photo Shooting Area. In additional to above Areas, the Parent-Child Puzzle Area which based on the “Educating while Playing” methodology is designed and contains multiple interactive units, for examples, Amusing Park in Philately, Let’s Go for Fun with Stamps, Flip the Cards, Good Memories Examinations…etc. The Room for Special Exhibitions will open irregularly to the postal exhibits in various kinds of subjects that can present the “Beauty of Stamps” meaning.
