Department Introduction

He Yong, an entrepreneur in Dajia (Chairman of the Taichung Wen Ying Foundation), is the main donor to the Zhong Zheng Memorial Hall. The Hall opened in October, 1981. It has now become a beautiful modern hall for drama, speeches, music concerts, and other cultural events. With funding from the government for maintenance, the Hall continues to be an important artistic place in Dajia. The speeches, performances, and historic relic exhibitions held in the Hall give local people opportunities to participate in and enjoy quality cultural events. It has not only accompanied many Dajia people during their time of growing up, but has also maintained the culture of Dajia to allow Dajia live up to its “cultural origin”. It educates and cultivates people in Dajia and provides them with a place for leisure activities. To integrate the characteristics of Dajia’s “life”, Daan’s “ecology” and Waipu’s “manufacturing industry”, a “Jiaanpu Community Development and Local Cultural Museum Integration Platform” that combines all characteristics together was established in 2018.
