Establishment Purpose

• The Park is located at the junction of Neipu, Changzhi and Linluo Townships in Neipu Township of Pingtung County. It was officially opened on October 22nd, 2011. Occupying an area of about 30 hectares, the Park is established to showcase Taiwan's Hakka culture and allow people to experience Hakka people’s daily life. The Liudui Hakka Cultural Park functions as a platform of learning and passing down of Hakka language and culture, exhibitions and marketing, and leisure and ecological education. The Park has 4 major areas: Natural Grassland Area, Rural Landscape Area, Umbrella Hakka Cluster Architecture Area, and Jiuxiang Bagong Area. The four zones symbolize the spirit of Hakka ancestry in building settlements, farms and fields with irrigation systems and community unity. It also represents a new starting point for a brighter future. The park adopts a new perspective to interpret the Luidui Hakka people’s interaction with the land and stands for the sustainability of Hakka culture in southern Taiwan.

Department Introduction

The theme of the Liudui Hakka Cultural Park in Southern Taiwan is "Experiencing the Life of Taiwanese Hakka Culture”. The Park has laid a solid the foundation for the transmission and passing down of Hakka culture. It also serves as a platform to bring more connections to life in Hakka Villages: exhibitions, marketing, leisure, and ecological education.
