Department Introduction
Huwei Land Office, formerly known as “Tainan District Court, Huwei Branch Office”, was established in April, 1921. Its major business is real estate land registration, and the domain includes the Huwei Street, Xiluo Street, Tuku Village, Erlun Village, Lunbei Village, Haikou Village of Huwei County during the Japnese ruled period. As the industrial and commercial development started booming in Huwei district, and the Chianan Irrigation was completed and put into official use, numerous arable lands had emerged suddenly. This has caused the original Huwei Land Office to be inefficient for use due to its overly small space, it was then relocated and expanded to the current address in 1930. The window storage and storage bins are well preserved, which are important witnesses of the land and property rights system during the Japanese era. The Office used to served as the court warehouse after WWII, and was announced and registered as a historic building by Yunlin County Government in 2012. Yulin Memory Cool is currently stationed and operated by the Taiwan CEO Club for Social Benefit. The offering services include office tour, food, aperiodic events and exhibitions, customized local guided tours, etc.
