Establishment Purpose

  • The Juming Museum is a subsidiary of the NPO Juming Culture & Education Foundation. The founder, Mr. Ju Ming, built this nearly 80,000 m2 outdoor art museum within 12 years and officially opened it to the public on September 19th, 1999. The Juming Museum's main missions are to promote sculptured art, and to establish roots in children's art education. Balancing both goals has always been the development direction of Juming Museum. Over the years, the Juming Museum has organized various children's art education activities to establish deeper presences within local communities, enrich local students' understanding of sculptured art and the Museum, and allow children to integrate local humanities and ecological characteristics into their artistic creations. As one of the few sculpture-based museums in Taiwan, the Juming Museum is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and research of three-dimensional sculptures within the museum based on its mission to preserve artworks and inheritance of cultural assets. The Museum hopes to elevate level of Taiwanese sculptured art, and lead Taiwan to be in line with international standards.

Department Introduction

The Museum aims to use the aesthetics and creativity of sculptured art to promote and inspire participatory art education, and work with children to build a more humane and caring world.
