RUKAI CULTURE MUSEME

  • RUKAI CULTURE MUSEME

Department Introduction

The Rukai Culture Museum was established mainly to collect and display the traditional relics of the Rukai people. The planning idea of the museum focused on the presentation of their multiple cultural facades including various daily supplies, mysterious religious culture, fine technical crafts, and planning and style of stone slate houses, forming a small and static micro world of the Rukai culture. Guidebooks, leaflets in Chinese and English, and on-site narration services are available in the museum. In addition to helping the visitors understand and admire the Rukai culture features, the museum is deemed a space for permanent preservation of the culture and an education institution for the indigenous people. It is very helpful to promote the sense of self-identity and belonging and facilitate the continuation of the traditional Rukai culture.
