Establishment Purpose

  • “Museum 207” is located at No. 207, Section 1, Dihua Street, Taipei City. The building was built in 1962 and sold by the original owner in 2006. After being sold many times, the Taipei City Government listed it as a “historical building” in 2009 for its preservation value. In 2016, Ms. K.C. Chen purchased it. Between 2003 and 2015, Ms. Chen has founded and sponsored the “Taipei Story House,” pioneering individual adoption of historical monuments in Taiwan. On April 15, 2017, Ms. Chen founded and sponsored “Museum 207” to promote revitalization of historical monuments, hoping to produce new energy through the metamorphosis of this beautiful building, narrate the stories of Taiwan’s local culture, and link the present and the future through thematic exhibitions and comprehensive art and cultural activities for old buildings to be relived.

Department Introduction

On April 15, 2017, 12 years after running the Taipei Story House, Ms. Chen purchased the old building at No. 207, Section 1, Dihua Street, to found and sponsor the “Museum 207” to promote the revitalization of cultural assets, hoping to produce new energy through the metamorphosis of this beautiful building, narrate the stories of Taiwan’s local culture, and link the present and the future through thematic exhibitions and comprehensive art and cultural activities for old buildings to relive.
